Check out Scott Reads It! for reviews, giveaways, & more! Not A Drop To Drink is one of the most chilling dystopian books that I've ever read. Not only is extremely engaging and entertaining, it is also frighteningly real. This is definitely one of the best dystopian books I've read this year; that's a huge compliment considering I've read so many this year. Not A Drop To Drink is definitely a must-read for dystopian aficionados. Lynn is an extremely kick-ass, no nonsense protagonist; her character arc is absolutely incredible. Lynn develops so much as a person and a character throughout Not A Drop; McGinnis wrote a character with so much depth. Lynn knows exactly what she wants and she isn't afraid to do what she wants to get it. I'm really tired of reading about the same ol' protagonists; I really would love to see more original, refreshing characters like Lynn. Not A Drop To Drink isn't your usual dystopian book; it's truly a survival story. Not A Drop is a perfect book for those who enjoyed books like Ashfall. Everything is extremely realistic and McGinnis never holds back when the scenes become violent. So many of the survival techniques used by Lynn were so interesting to read about, I definitely feel like I learned a bit about surviving in a world with limited book. Isn't that a perfect reason to read it? In case of an apocalypse, so many of Lynn's actions and techniques could come in handy so keep that in mind. Not A Drop To Drink is a heartbreaking book that really hits close to home. It's disturbing, touching, and hopeful all at the same time. McGinnis really showcases how talented of a writer she is in Not A Drop. I was completely addicted throughout the book and it really caught my attention. I only planning on read a few chapters, but I was so hooked that I read so much more than expected. You will be amazed how easily you will become attached to the story and the characters. Without a doubt, I would recommend Not A Drop to anyone looking for a powerful dystopian book with just a tinge of romance.
